We have a massive update for you! It’s not only making content management more convenient but simplifying planning your budget. And video download protection is now even more reliable.

The New Dashboard - a unified hub to manage everything with Kinescope. We designed it simple yet powerful - it feels so familiar to Windows or macOS interfaces:

• Re-invented content storage system and advanced search helps you quickly navigate through a collection of any size - no matter if it’s ten or ten thousand videos;
• Smart uploading makes it easier to handle large files and bulk uploads;
• Player design customization is possible for entire projects, groups of videos, or single videos with templates system;
• Tags for better sorting of files within a directory;
• Domain privacy settings can now be applied in bulk instead of configuring it separately for each video;
• Invite teammates and use role management to collaborate securely and effectively.
  

In the Billing section, complete information on current resources usage is available. CDN traffic, storage usage re-calculated per day, transcoding (video processing time) and, live streaming stats are at your fingertips updated daily. Now you can estimate upcoming expenses in advance. Update your payment method by adding a card and get billed automatically. 

Keep premium content safe with the most advanced video security - from basic domain privacy to the strongest industrial DRM systems (Digital Rights Management) with AES encryption and screen recording protection (for iOS and Safari on macOS only).

New Catalog

Workspaces, projects, and extensive folder system with unlimited levels - everything to organize even a huge video collection!
This is how it works:

Workspace - is an online school that teaches digital professions. A project is one of its top-level courses, for example, marketing or targeting. Folders are individual courses. Inside them are folders with educational blocks, and then - with separate lessons, where the videos are uploaded.

But this is just an example. Video content can be organized however you like, no matter what project you are working on. If you run your own platform, then workspaces and projects can serve as isolated areas for your customers.

Kinescope’s interface by design is convenient to work with a group of videos at once, and not just with single videos.

You can select files and drag them to the desired folder or project, as you would normally do on your desktop.
Support for standard hotkeys is expanding from day to day. For now, you can already select a group of files with [Shift] and ↑ ↓ or individual files with [ctrl] or [cmd] for bulk right-click actions.

Updated Search

Be more productive with search results appearing on the fly. Manage files directly from the search results. Find out in which folder of project your file is located - it all turns the search into a functional navigation center.
Soon we are going to make it more powerful with a built-in filtering system.

The Smart File Upload

File and folder smart queue help to control the process and keep working even when uploading thousands of files or extreme data volumes. Keep an eye on what is already uploaded, in the progress, or even an error has occurred. To make it transparent for you, we keep a history of downloads. In the meantime, when downloads are in progress, you can safely continue working in the catalog. 

Even when you lose internet connection, just drop files for upload once again and it will resume from the same point. 
Coming soon. Link your cloud file storage like Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox, and others to make transfer instant.

Player Customization & Templates

Customize the appearance (colors, title, and subtitle visibility, upload your logo, etc.) and elements of the player for your environment. This can be done both for a single video or the entire project. For example, you can create a basic player template that you use for landing pages and promos, and a separate one for paid lessons in your course.

Call-to-action buttons and other customizable interactive elements are coming soon. While Call-to-Action feature is already available in beta in the API.

Frame Selection

Now you can choose a particular frame as a cover of the video, and not just upload a pre-prepared poster. And this is a frame-by-frame, not a second-by-second choice. Getting videos ready to publish just got easier and faster.

Bulk And Quick Actions

General video settings are now duplicated in the right-click fast menu. You can customize everything on the video settings page, or use quick actions right in the catalog.

Allowing playback only on specific domains is now available for the entire project, either for all videos that are already uploaded of the newcomers. In this case, you don’t need to configure privacy for each individual video. All your domains can also be managed in a single place - domain manager in Settings sections, as well as tags and player templates.

Adding And Managing Teammates

Collaborate on the project with your team. You can now invite users and set different roles for them.

Administrator have full access to the Workspace including access role management, issuing and deprecating API tokens, full access to the Billing data.

Editor have full access to the Workspace: he can upload, delete, move and edit files and folders, but he cannot manage user roles and access the Billing data.

Manager can only upload and edit files.

Manage everything from user roles to invitations from a single section in the Settings menu.

Billing Details

Unlike the majority of video platforms, we run on top of our own infrastructure. Therefore, you pay only for the fundamental resources used: traffic, storage and video processing (transcoding). All this data is transparent and available in the Billing section with no hidden fees or commitments.

Advanced Video Download Protection

Kinescope introduces the most advanced DRM video encryption system used by Netflix, HBO, Disney, and others. Each piece of the video is encrypted with individual keys with a certain lifetime, to prevent unauthorized video playback.

Live Streaming API

Live broadcasting is now available via the API. It's not complex as it sounds, you don't need to be a programmer. Among our current customers, there are dozens already running live broadcasts to over 10,000 simultaneous viewers. If you need help, just get in touch and we’ll help.

The broadcast can be scheduled in advance (countdown will be displayed for viewers awaiting), video rewind (DVR) is available for live-stream viewers, and at the end, the recorded video will be automatically saved and available in the catalog.

Unlike other providers, we don’t care about the number of simultaneous viewers or extra features (like encryption) enabled, but only the traffic consumed. This makes Kinescope Live accessible for everyone.

Launching and managing Live streams from the dashboard interface will be rolled out in Q1 of 2022. Gradually, chats, overlaying effects, and speaker’s room will be added.
